GUEST: Sky Purington

Sky's WINNER is Carol L.
Your book has been sent, Carol.
Thanks to everyone!!!

My wonderful guest today is fellow Wild Rose author, Sky Purington.... welcome, Sky.... and let's have some fun!

Thanks so much for having me at your blog, Denyse! Though I classify myself as a paranormal romance writer, I’m really more a cross genre writer of fantasy and paranormal romance. My Scottish trilogy touches on sexy Scottish wizards, time-travel and magick. My latest release, Darkest Memory, focuses on a career driven journalist and an intense, overprotective vampire.

Twists and turns saturate Darkest Memory. Nothing is as it seems. Yes, like many vampire tales, my heroine, Calah, can’t contemplate the existence of vampires. That’s where the similarities end. If Calah was here she’d say, “I would have never believed my part in this. How is it I’ve lived my whole life and not once felt there existed a being that loved me so much? That would sacrifice so much for me? That would risk all he cared for to keep me safe?”
If vampire Gabriel could respond he’d say, “You never deserved the fate served you. Give me decades, centuries, I’ll make it right. You need to grow old this time. You must find true love with one who can give more than I.”

This story, while a contemporary that takes place in Maine, will walk you down the path of history as well. Expect to experience what it felt like to be at King Richard I’s coronation in medieval London, England. Look around Westminster Abby as they celebrated. Hear the cries of outrage beyond the walls as people rebelled against injustice. See the fire’s spark as riots ignite over the city. It was a historical time worth remembering. A night many vampires were made.

I won’t give away too much more. For another glimpse feel free to check out Darkest Memory’s Book Trailer.

It was just great having you here! And, before we're done... for readers who are curious: a few review statements....

There is so much packed into Destiny’s Denial the story is gripping. I couldn’t put it down until I finished the last page but don’t take my word for it, you really need to read these books. Simply Romance Reviews

Ms. Purington writes a compelling novel. It was easy to accept the time travel and her descriptions of Scotland were excellent. I was surprised by several twists in the plot that I didn’t see coming... Once Upon a Romance

If you like romance AND time travel you will love this book!...The sexual tension snaps and vibrates through the entire story…Did I mention I read this story twice? Long and Short Reviews

  1. I adore that Darkest Memory cover Sky!

I think everyone feels like the heroine at times; few actually have the honour of being loved like that.

Sounds a fab book, thanks for sharing!

  6. Seriously, Sky Purington has the ability to bring every dark corner of my little soul to light. Who hasn't felt this way at one point or another in there life? Maybe after a break up, tragic loss, or horrific rejection? From Denyse's Blog on Ms. Purington's new book Darkest Memory...{If Calah was here she’d say, “I would have never believed my part in this. How is it I’ve lived my whole life and not once felt there existed a being that loved me so much?} Does anyone one else want to crawl into bed with this book right now? I can't wait to dive into these guilt provoking, dark realizations of bloody vampire love! So excited about the new release, thanks for the sneak peak...now I'm off to buy it!
