Vampire erotic romance novel...
DESCENT INTO DARKNESS
Genre: Historical/Vampire
ISBN: 1-59578-284-2
Date: October 16th, 2006
Cover by: April Martinez
Publisher: Liquid Silver Books (http://lsbooks.com/)
Spanning almost two centuries Descent Into Darkness is the erotic love story of an ancient vampire and the mortal woman who is his obsession.
Alexander DeLenoir is an ancient creature of the night, born in a betrayal that has left him without conscience or morality. He’s witnessed history that is now myth. Throughout his long life, Alexander has seldom sought companionship, and never has he looked for love. He has kept two of his immortal children with him, through whatever means necessary, and is not intending to expand his family.
Arriving at a small Massachusetts town after killing the sailors on their ship, the vampire trio meets the mysterious and lonely wife of the innkeeper, and Alexander is entranced by her beauty and her indomitable spirit. In Amberlaine Calvert, he senses a nature as dark and depraved as his own seeking freedom. Despite the protests of his companions, Alexander takes her and in adoration of him finds an obsessive kind of happiness.
When the town slowly awakens to the evil among them, a bloody slaughter ensues, and Amberlaine is forced to see the madness that will define her life with Alexander. Yet, in spite of her fear, she is obsessively devoted to the powerful vampire, and the darker things she feels lurking within her are about to be unleashed by a hunger even greater than her passion—the thirst for revenge against those who dare to threaten their existence…

FYI: Sci-Fi & Fantasy fans
For Immediate Release
Hi - Janice here from EDGE Science Fiction and Fantasy Publishing...
I just want to give you a "heads up" on the BookShorts MOVING STORIES premiere.
It will include a short animated film based on our latest book, "i-ROBOT Poetry by Jason Christie". The show will be broadcast on BookTelevision TONIGHT, Thursday, September 28 at 8pm EST and on The Canadian Learning Channel, Sunday, October 8th at 8:30am EST. Tune in ....
You will never look at your toaster or hair dryer the same way again.
In Jason Christie's collection of ROBOT poems, robots and other "sentient" animated appliances and are openly lamenting their positions as slaves to human desires -- and dreaming of finding their own identities and destinies!
The BookShort animation is based on Christie's "i-ROBOT Poetry by Jason Christie" - a collection of highly intelligent "ROBOTICA" poems - and is a stunning analysis of the world of robots, their inner emotions and what they perceive of the men and machines around them.
Some of the robotic devices featured in the poems are garborators, refrigerators, and washing machines. They even get the blues: "Why do I have to be one of millions? Why can't I just be a lonely little one in search of a zero to call my own?..."
Tune in to the BookShorts MOVING STORIES premiere tomorrow night at 8pm EST or catch the Canadian Learning Channel premiere on Sunday, October 8th at 8:30am EST.

Blogging at SEx today!
I know I posted this a few days back, but I finally figured out what I was going to talk about, so the post is up at SEx - Silver Expressions, and the comments are coming in for the mini-contest, so I hope you'll pop over and see what's happening. I chose vampires as a topic, and that pretty well guarantees discussion, which was the point of it all.
So, drop in and see what's going on. The URL is: www.liquidsilverbooks.com/blog

Another new contract, and a new publisher, too!
Well, it's been a busy week already and it's only Tuesday!! Got word last night that a short story I submitted quite awhile back has been contracted by an ePublisher I haven't worked with before. So, the contract is signed, and things are in the works for me to add my name to the roster at New Concepts Publishing. The story is another of those Action/Thriller type things I seem to be doing so much of these days, but this one is heavily laced with a Martial Arts them, and it's called Silent Death. I'm starting to get overwhelmed, but in a good way, of course!!
Anyhow, will keep everyone up to date as I get closer to knowing when this one will be available. I have to get a page done for my website, but may wait until there's an actual cover to go with the excerpt and blurb. Depends on how busy I get later today. We'll see...
Oh, stay tuned for the arrival of the third Rebel Knight installment, too. I'm just finishing that up, too. Chapter Three is called "Spirit's Edge" and deals a little with cult mentality in a small town, and our hero ends up right in the middle of it all!!

Okay, I finally got organized and have added lengthy excerpts to my newsgroup for all the books currently with Liquid Silver Books, the two that are currently available, and those that are coming soon. If anyone wants me to add excerpts like these for the Amber Quill Press titles, let me know via the newsgroup, or leave a comment to that effect, and I'll see about getting them ready and posted, okay?
Also, don't forget the monthly FREE eBook contest, it's still running, so if there's something you'd like to win, drop by the website, make a selection from the BOOKS page, and send me an email with your choice. Exciting new project
Well, I've been hinting that something exciting is in the works, so it's about time to tell everyone what's happening. For those of you who've been checking in regularly, you know all about my "modern western" serialized story with Branscombe Richmond, the Rebel Knight tale. Now there's going to be a second serial. The new one is work in conjunction with Branscombe's new television show, Good Morning, Hawaii. The plan at this point is to write a serialized romance novel set on the islands. It will be part historical and part contemporary. We're in early stages at this point, but if it all comes together as planned, I'll have the proposal story done in a week or so, then the first chapter will be written afterward. All in all, we're probably looking at a month before this appears. BUT, the cover has been designed by a local friend, and it's in the Photos section of my newsgroup, so stop in and have a look, all right?
Also, the first reviews for my debut novel with Liquid Silver Books have been fabulous!! I'm so pleased, honestly. Review excerpts are on my website and the newsgroup. The one I'm dying to know about is, of course, my Victorian mystery/romance, so I can't wait to see those!! Here's hoping the reviews are good...
I'll be adding a couple of new, extended book excerpts to the newsgroup over the next couple of days, so I hope you'll drop in, and sign up, and jump into the group with lots to say. See ya there, and thanks to everyone for all their support and interest. You can never know how much it means to a writer to know that readers are enjoying the work, but trust me, it means everything, it really does.

Chit-chat, and another New Release
Okay, contract news aside, it’s time for some chat, since I’m generally feeling burned out at the moment! I have too many ideas and not enough time to ever get them down onto the page, so… Some folks think that’s a “good” problem, but if you’ve ever lived with that many ideas whirling in your brain, you know it’s a recipe for madness or collapse. For me, I don’t know which one’s gonna win!
The new release is all set for Monday, so if anyone’s been waiting for the Victorian mystery/romance with the ties to Jack The Ripper, the wait is over. Personally, I think this is a much better book than the last one, mostly because it’s more of a truthful display of my writing style. I don’t, as a rule, think that explicit sex scenes enhance a story in any real way. If the book is good, then it’s real strength has to lie in the plot, the characterizations, and the way you execute the tale you want to tell. Romance is a side-effect of any story that involves people in emotional circumstances, so even in my fantasy tales, it’s there, however secondary. But, romance doesn’t always equate with sexual activity that is described in intimate detail, so… For me, I don’t ever write with graphic detail in a setting where it just doesn’t “feel” like the correct way to approach it. It’s going to be different for everyone, of course. In the first of the Devane Files books, there is romance and sexuality, but if you’re looking for another story like the one that was depicted in “Simply The Best”, you’ll be disappointed, I’m afraid. If you want a story that is crafted around two injured hearts learning to love again, then this one is very likely to appeal to you on many levels. There’s an excerpt on my website, and there’s going to be a different one posted to the LSB Blog on Tuesday morning. The URL for that one is: http://www.liquidsilverbooks.com/blog
AVAILABLE September 4th, 2006
The Devane Files Book One: OUT OF HELL
ISBN: 1-59578-268-0
Genre: Victorian era Romance/Mystery
*URL: http://www.liquidsilverbooks.com/books/outofhell.htm
In 1892 Whitechapel, only a few years after the infamous Ripper murders, Inspector Michael Devane is given the job of investigating the murder of a theatre producer. Devane is a haunted man, driven by the dark demons of his past, the elusive Ripper, and a growing addiction to opium. His brilliance is unquestionable, but his methods are highly unorthodox. When Devane comes into the home of the victim, an unpleasant man named Robert Bradshaw, he meets Bethany Davenshire-Bradshaw. In Bradshaw’s widow, Michael finds a kindred spirit who defies both the conventions of society, and the trappings of false mourning. As they grow closer, Devane discovers that Beth is a woman of many secrets, but could one of them really be that she is the murderer he’s looking for?
*NOTE: The URL won’t take you to the book until 6-7 PM ET on Monday evening. In the meantime if you want to have a look, you can go to the main page of the Liquid Silver site, (http://LSBooks.com) and click the “Coming Soon” link in the left sidebar menu.
The next book won’t be turning up until October, probably mid-month. That one is another Historical for the most part. It’s contemporary in sections, but the bulk of the story is set in the 1700s. It’s also a return to the vampire romance, and is at times quite erotic in nature. The cover will be done shortly, and once it’s ready, I’ll post it here, and of course, it will appear on the “Coming Soon” page of my website.
Other projects are my LXG: Dorian Gray romance, which I’m hoping to have finished in another month or so. Also, the next chapter of REBEL KNIGHT.
Before Christmas I’m also hoping to get well into my new pirate romance, so there’s lots of stuff on the go, I just need the time to get to everything. I guess that leads back to my earlier moan about too many ideas, doesn’t it? Time to sign off again if we’re back to that!!! Everyone have a great long weekend, and I hope you’ll drop in often and comment or send me an email if you’d like to chat… ‘Bye for now…
