Lisa Jackson is back!!!
ISBN: 142010277X
Publisher: Zebra
Publish Date: July 2009
Genre: Romantic Suspense
ABOUT THE BOOK:
Once you get a chance to enjoy and recommend this book, and I’m sure you’ll agree that, once again, Lisa delivers “the goods”—nail biting suspense and memorable characters—as she weaves the story of a relentless murderer who leaves behind a trail of frozen corpses, desperate visions, and a Sheriff’s department convinced that their instincts are right, that the murderer remains at large and is ready to strike again. They’re not about to stand down—especially when Detective Pescoli is suddenly discovered missing and, as with the killer’s prior victims, her car is found crumpled and abandoned.

A book that IS a valuable resource for parents
This book meets that need for parent preparation. Parents are prepared with an introduction to the environmental factors that contribute to developmental learning disabilities, enabling them to engage in an effective prevention program at home before the child starts to school. Parents are assisted initially by learning how to rear children who are neurologically ready to learn. They will learn how trauma, nutrition, childrearing practices, allergies, and other environmental factors impact child development interfering with the neurological development of learning mechanisms in the brain.
Part II of the book answers all the parents questions about test and testing, how children are identified as needing special education, the process of meetings and development of the IEP, and finally it identifies all the documents to be signed as well as questions to ask, when to ask them, and what to do if they don’t get the right answer (expected answers are provided also). This part of the book is a step by step road map to a preferred conclusion to all the meetings that will result in an appropriate education for their child.
Part III of the book is a reference explaining all the ways in which learning disabilities manifest in the learning behavior of children. Parents and teachers are supplied with strategies, interventions and techniques for modifying the classroom, and accommodating the child to facilitate the learning process. Parents are prepared to represent their child during the special education process, and teachers and administrators are encouraged to embrace this new, involved, active parent to form a coalition of parent, teacher and child with the objective of creating an ideal learning environment which supports the child at home and at school.

Happily ever after.... ANNETTE SNYDER
If there’s one thing I like, its romance and happily ever after. The other thing I like is Independence Day with all the fanfare and explosion of fireworks. I’ve combined these two events together in my latest release, Intimate Flames, which revolves around The Fourth of July. It’s a contemporary romance involving a fireman and a convenience store clerk. Bradie Carpenter holds dear only memories of love lost. Armed with determination after Grant Blain’s tragic death, Bradie moves forward in life with their son. Without the exclusive Blain family name or the advantage of the family fortune and, diligent to overcome the obstacles of single parenthood, she sets a goal of a better life in the picturesque town of Union.
Andrew “Amen” Packard married too young with an unrealistic view of the future. After a turbulent divorce stemming from pressure of his firefighter career, Amen chooses his heated profession over affection for wife, family and friends. Not until he meets Bradie does he rethink his decision to exclude love from his life.
Can Bradie discover that money doesn’t always extinguish love?
Will Amen allow a ready-made family near enough to bash towering walls of seclusion?
Is friendship and attraction enough to heal the lives of two souls charred from fate?
This heroine and hero create fireworks of their own while trying to stay independent.
